Custom Kitchens Newcastle
Made to Measure, One Fixed Price
Cabinetry designed and built around your room, your cooking and your budget, installed as part of a fixed-price kitchen renovation across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Maitland.
Custom Kitchens for Newcastle Homes
A custom kitchen is made to fit your room, not adjusted to suit standard cabinet sizes. That matters most in Newcastle homes with odd wall lengths, sloping ceilings, bulkheads or a chimney breast: older cottages, terraces and weatherboards rarely have square, standard-sized rooms.
The process is design first. We measure up in your home, agree a brief, prepare layout options and a 3D render, then give you an itemised fixed-price quote based on the final design. Cabinet sizes, storage fittings, finishes and benchtops are chosen to suit how you cook and live.
Custom does not have to mean a luxury price. A made-to-measure layout can cost less than forcing standard units into a difficult room and paying for filler panels and workarounds. See what a kitchen renovation costs in Newcastle for the three budget tiers, or read about our kitchen design approach.
The custom work is part of a complete renovation: demolition, plumbing, electrical, tiling and installation are coordinated under one quote. Browse kitchen renovation services for the full scope, or how the process works from consultation to handover.

Where Custom Cabinetry Makes a Difference
Awkward Rooms & Odd Walls
Out-of-square walls, bulkheads, chimney breasts and sloping ceilings. Cabinets are sized to the room so there are no wasted gaps.
Older & Heritage Homes
Cottages, terraces and weatherboards often need cabinetry that works with existing features. Custom joinery avoids awkward fillers.
Storage Planned Around You
Deep drawers, pull-out pantries, corner solutions and appliance garages, positioned where you actually reach for things.
Open-Plan & Island Kitchens
Islands and open-plan layouts sized to your room, with seating, storage and power planned in from the start.
Not sure whether custom suits your project? Tell us about your room when you enquire and we will say honestly whether standard sizing would do.
What You Can Customise
Finishes & Colours
Doors, panels and handles in a style that suits your home, from classic shaker to flat-panel modern.
Benchtops
Engineered stone was banned in NSW from 1 July 2024. Porcelain, sintered stone, natural stone and laminate remain options.
Hardware & Fittings
Soft-close drawers, bins, pull-outs and lighting chosen to your budget and use.
Appliance Integration
Cabinetry sized for your cooktop, oven, rangehood and fridge, with ventilation and clearances planned for.
Custom Kitchens FAQs
What is a custom kitchen?
A custom kitchen has cabinetry designed and made to measure for your room, rather than assembled from fixed-size standard units. Dimensions, storage and finishes are chosen for your space and how you use it.
Are custom kitchens much more expensive?
Not necessarily. Custom costs depend on size, materials and fittings, and a made-to-measure layout can avoid the filler panels and workarounds that standard units need in difficult rooms. We give an itemised fixed-price quote after the design is agreed.
Can you build a custom kitchen in an older home?
Yes. Older Newcastle homes often have uneven walls and floors, and made-to-measure cabinetry is well suited to them. Homes built before 1990 may need asbestos testing before demolition; we raise this at the planning stage.
How long does a custom kitchen take?
Design, ordering and manufacture happen before installation, so allow longer than a simple cosmetic update. We confirm the timeline in writing once the design and materials are agreed. See the renovation process for the typical stages.
Do you install the custom kitchen as well?
Yes. Installation, plumbing, electrical, tiling and finishing are coordinated as part of the same fixed-price renovation, so you deal with one team.
